Elphaba sneaks into Munchkinland to visit her sister Nessarose, who has become a bitter, tyrannical governor. When Boq tries to leave, Nessa accidentally casts a spell that shrinks his heart. To save him, Elphaba transforms him into the Tin Man, a creature who feels no pain but lacks a human heart.
