In 2022, humanity is on the brink of extinction due to a war with alien invaders known as the Whitespikes. Soldiers from the year 2051 arrive to warn the present day population of this impending doom. In response, the world’s militaries are sent to the future to fight the aliens, but less than 20% survive. This leads to a global draft, where civilians are also conscripted to fight in the future war.
