Aurora, an imaginative and hard boiled 8 year old girl living in a surreal, stylised version of a modern city. Aurora is convinced that a monster living under her bed a giant, sentient dust bunny has eaten her family. After witnessing her mysterious neighbor, Resident 5B, take down a group of “monsters” in Chinatown who are actually human gang members in a dragon costume, she decides to hire him. Using $327.42 stolen from a church collection plate, she procures his services to kill the monster under her bed.
