Song Kang ren, a former bomb disposal expert living in the shadow of a tragedy. Three years prior, Kang ren successfully defused a bomb in a cinema, but his focus on that single threat caused him to miss a second, larger bomb in a nearby department store. The resulting explosion caused mass casualties, leading a guilt ridden Kang ren to quit the force and stall his marriage to his fiancรฉe, Huang Xin.
