The film follows Anna (Buckley), a woman who is struggling in her relationship with her husband, Ryan (White). In an attempt to improve their relationship, Anna takes a job at a mysterious institute that tests couples' compatibility using a controversial new technology that involves pulling a fingernail from each partner and testing it in a machine.
