The movie Nerve is a science fiction thriller directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, and written by Jessica Sharzer. It stars Emma Roberts and Dave Franco, and follows a high school senior who downloads a game called Nerve, where players complete dares for money and viewers vote on whether they should succeed or fail. As she progresses through the game, she realizes that the dares are becoming increasingly dangerous, and she must decide whether to keep playing or risk her life
