The film follows Vicky White, a veteran corrections officer, as she develops a secret infatuation with new prisoner Casey White, a convicted murderer. Vicky begins to give Casey special attention, and the two of them eventually start a romantic relationship.When Casey is scheduled to be transferred to another facility, Vicky decides to help him escape. On April 29, 2022, Vicky tells her colleagues that she is taking Casey to the courthouse for a mental health evaluation. However, instead of going to the courthouse, Vicky drives Casey away in her patrol car.
